Hello my gorgeous readers! I am happy to let you read below the Crazy Fashion Dreams article from the creator and owner of Gimme Good Style, who so graciously agreed on writing a post for my blog. Enjoy!
Designers and people who work in fashion bear this stigma that they’re all creative people and can do almost everything, from turning trashy dresses to something worth to wear at MET Gala. That’s not really false, but we are not that creative after all. Especially when it comes to goals and dreams. If you asked a fashion graduate or students who are still studying at college what they want to be in the future, you will get a hell lot of answers. But the answers range between I want to be a fashion designer/editor/writer (that’s me!)/stylist… uh, I run out of idea. The point is: don’t you have some really crazy dreams, the ones that are scarier and riskier, but feel really exciting when you think about them?
Don’t you have an extreme fashion dreams?
I used to have a lot of them. I still do. But maybe because I get older and college is a matter of time for me, I become more aware, I set up some ‘ordinary’ stuffs as back up plans, jobs that I don’t want to do except if I run out of money and my dream aren’t working really well. That doesn’t mean I have simply forgotten about my dreams. I keep them in my mind, wrapped in Lanvin classic black bow and sprayed them with Chanel No.5 (or maybe Yves Saint Laurent new fragrance). They’re my fashion dreams. My fashion babies!
Okay, I am going to tell you some of my dreams. AND I am going to pretend that you like them because my parents aren’t really into these stuffs. Here they are:
-Lady Gaga costume designer/stylist (move out Nicola Formichetti, I am going to replace you and she will love me more. But no more meat and bubbles, we are working on something far more ambitious…. um, gummy bears… and, uh, more gummy bears!)
-Garance Dore’s camera guy for her Youtube series: Pardon My French (I simply worship her and working with her sounds like an amazing opportunity. And I love camera. And I love fashion. We are meant for each other, I know it!)
-Professional street style blogger (I am not even sure that this job exists, maybe I am going to wear a bunch of cool clothes and have a bunch of photographers following me and capturing every moment I spend with them, including eating lunch and buy groceries and whatever I am doing at the moment? Sounds like a normal blogger job for me. I still want to give it a shot though. Ha!)
-Replace Scott Schuman as the king of fashion bloggers (No need explanation for this one. My ultimate plan to dethrone the king is to buy a nice camera and start to shoot random people. Maybe blackmail him a little bit on twitter and sabotage his book launchings.)(That’s a joke! Don’t report me to fashion police, please…)
I know, those dreams sound really… risky and unpredictable and selfish. How about the bills? How can you pay them? Yeah, I hear those questions all the time. But sometimes it is good to take chance that you can’t really see. Set yourself to whatever you want to do and just go! No more heavy chains that bind you with responsibilities and boring lives of Kansas (remember Wizard of Oz?) or Connecticut or wherever you come from. Remember, this is fashion. Everything can happen in this industry. One minute you are out and the next day you can be the next big thing on Vogue.
We just have to believe and work our ass off to get there.
Maybe our dreams aren’t really far away after all.
P.S: Remember, it still good to have a back up plan. Just don’t get too attached to it.
Famous fashion photographer Russell James has just launched a book that takes a retrospective look at his work. His photos have featured in magazines like Vogue, Marie Claire, GQ and W, and now he´s edited a book that brings together everything from his exuberance in fashion to his passion for nude shots.

Amazing photo shots for Giorgio Armani for this spring summer 2009 were taken by the great photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

I was always impressed by Salvador Dali’s works of art. Now you can use it as fashionable accessories in your outfit. Check out this great pin – Ruby Lips- a reproduction of his 1949 design. Available at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
I really love Eva Longoria. She dresses very very nice. But I have to say that I liked her more in the last series of Desperate Housewives where she looked absolutely magnificent, now she has 2 children and logs and misses very much the life before when she had connections and money
Wearing great earings- Joy O Circlet Duster Earrings !!!
The actress sizzled in her Marchesa mini at an Oscars party in February, while the singer got pretty in pink at a Lifetime Rock the Vote party in August in her beaded dress.
Or keeping it casual, the actress accessorized her Old Navy safari jacket and J Brand jeans with a red-hot Gerard Darel bag.
Lovely.
Don’t we all love the way Serena van der Woodsen dresses? Or should I say Blake Lively? I find the character of Serena very like Blake. Serena van der Woodsen is a glamorous, connected rich girl in Manhattan who doesn’t follow the hippest fashion trends: she sets them.
Cool girl!
And the pictures can go on and on for hours
Everyone is watching Gossip Girl! Great show! I love the way the stars from the show dress!
Check out some ideas below.
You can check and buy all the clothes in this picture and much more on TV Guide.
Are you following the latest trends in fashion? Then you should know that tartan is a must, animal print – if it is done with good taste

Mini just released the -Oh! So in fashion – model in tartan and in animal print.
I salute the idea to match the cars to our wardrobe, to take the trends wardrobe seriously and way beyond

Hello,
It has been a hell of a weekend, as I went to a trip in the mountains- leaving behind the great fuss caused by the -WHAT IN THE WORLD AM I GOING TO WEAR questions
- it was a great weekend.
Also, today I don’t know why, maybe because of the unexpected heat outside- at least for this time of the year, middle of October equals 5-10 degrees and now there are 25- all the girls I saw starting 8 o’clock were dressed very fashionable. At first I thought, OMG they are all reading my blog
but then I decided to write about another fall trend in my opinion at least.
From boudoir to dance floor or a fancy lunch, lace is the connecting thread.
Gorgeous blouse and great dress:

ACCESSORIES, what would anyone do without them?
I am not trying to show you the latest trends in this area, at least not yet. But, considering I became also addicted to the Gossip Girl TV-series, at the beginning more for the clothes part as Serena (Blake) is dressing amazing, but soon I became addicted also to the plot so I keep watching the new episodes constantly. Among other great ideas that appeared in my full of bumping into each other ideas head, was the headband – since we are talking about head
. When we speak about headbands, we consider them only a thing to hold the hair, but thanks to the girls – Serena, Blair, Jenny and Co- I discovered they could be so much more.
Headbands can be totally chic and a hot accessory to a variety of hairstyles, and they come in tones of colors, styles and patterns; also check this amazing site – Lavender Girl- who sells tones of headbands. I’m going to choose right now a few -10, 20- of them. Try to catch me- if you can
Day 1.
How magnificent, my first post! You should know about me that I am very into fashion and latest trends and new things that show up. Also I would like- and I somehow managed to do that- travel a lot.
I also enjoy buying a lot of new things everyday if possible. So basically, this is a place where we can discuss everything about fashion.
